River Stop Cafe and Social House

From humble beginnings as a 15-seat coffee house, River Stop Cafe has been an ever-evolving, independently owned small business with it’s heart rooted in the community.

From morning to afternoon, we operate as a Cafe. Come up to the counter or sit at table and order from a range of soups, sandwiches, espresso drinks, or from the bar, knowing we source our goods as locally as possible.

Wednesday through Saturday nights we operate as a Social House from 4pm on. We have a separate dinner menu featuring small plates, homemade empanadas, nachos, shareables, and more. Our bar is stocked with Michigan microbrews, good wine, and fresh cocktails, We host a range of special events, from music and game nights, to wine tastings and more. Our new basement space is available as a rental for your special events.

While our place in the community has grown from that 15 seat coffee house, our commitment to our guests and staff remain the same. Come see us, and join the Newaygo family!
